Senior Investment Analyst

Summit Global Investments, LLC is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst in Bountiful, Utah.

DUTIES: The Senior Investment Analyst collaborates with the investment team on a daily basis to oversee and manage various investment portfolios, utilizing multiple strategies and asset structures to optimize returns for clients, essentially acting as a key decision-making contributor in portfolio allocation and adjustments across diverse investment options. (1) Collaborates with senior quantitative analysts on advanced quantitative research projects related to alpha factors, asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, and the improvement of investment strategies [20%]; (2) Assists senior quantitative analysts in designing, testing, and implementing quantitatively-driven investment strategies [20%]; (3) Leads monthly portfolio optimization and rebalancing processes for multiple strategies and funds, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and market conditions [20%]; (4) Executes and manages index options trading strategies using advanced hedging techniques to enhance portfolio performance and mitigate risk [15%]; (5) Utilize machine learning techniques for ESG research and analysis, gaining deeper insights into sustainability factors and investment impact [10%]; (6) Monitors portfolio performance daily by analyzing Bloomberg data, financial statements, and market news to identify and address idiosyncratic risks [5%]; (7) Stays informed about financial services industry developments and market trends while expanding expertise in derivatives, fixed income, and commodities [5%]; (8) Prepares quarterly performance reports, factsheets, and presentations for management and shareholders, highlighting portfolio insights and strategy outcomes [2.5%]; and (9) Performs automation of repetitive tasks and other such related duties as assigned [2.5%].

REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Financial Mathematics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field. Experience: 36 months of experience in working as a Senior Investment Analyst, Investment Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Quantitative Investment Analyst, Quantitative Finance Research Analyst, Equity ESG Analyst, or related occupation. Licenses/Certifications: (1) Have Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") ESG Investing Certificate; (2) Have Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management Certificate; (3) Have Finance and Valuation Modeling Certificate; and (4) Have Analyst designation from the CFA Institute or pass CFA Level 1. Other requirements: (1) (1) Demonstrably excellent working knowledge of: (a) Microsoft Excel; (b) Microsoft Office; (c) MATLAB; (d) Stata; (e) Python; (f) Tableau; (g) Bloomberg; and (h) R Programming; (2) Demonstrably excellent skills in: (a) Technical Writing; (b) Quantitative Research and Analysis; (c) Programming; (d) Equity Research & Valuation; (e) Derivative Pricing; (f) Machine learning; (g) Portfolio Management; (h) Data Analysis; (i) Accounting; (j) Financial and Statistical Modeling; (k) Risk management; (l) Econometrics; (m) Equity factor models; (n) Time Series Analysis; (o) Asset Pricing Model; and (p) ESG Investing; and (3) Demonstrable ability to: (a) work with various software programs and information systems; (b) maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services industry happenings and current events; and (c) gain knowledge of other assets like derivatives, bonds, commodities; and (d) be detail oriented.
