INVESTMENT PROFESSIONALS

SENIOR QUANTITATIVE ANALYST

This position is an opportunity to support and become an integral member of Summit Global Investments. You’ll work daily with the investment team to help manage assets across multiple investment strategies and structures. This team member will have an opportunity to participate in all investment meetings where all portfolio decisions are made. The selected candidate will gain broad exposure and research into various financial instruments including equities, mutual funds, separate accounts, hedge funds, ETFs, Private Capital, etc. This individual should be proficient in compiling, extracting, and analyzing financial data to help create recommendations and manage portfolios. Barra, Axioma, Optimization and Risk Matrix understanding will go a long way to helping you succeed and make a significant impact at SGI. You will also be responsible for quantitative research within sector/industry models, trend following algorithms, incubate new strategies, factors/data analysis and utlimately working within the team to help SGI take the necessary steps to add value for our clients.

  • Utilize Bloomberg, Factset and/or other technology to conduct research on target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations
  • Research and document algorithms, models and methods which create active/excess return
  • Assist in analyzing potential new and existing investments
  • Develop and write research reports and publications to be presented to management and/or shareholders and publish in respective journals
  • Create proprietary financial models to create charts, dashboards, supporting material all with the goal of managing risk and creating higher returns
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services industry happenings and current events

Qualifications

  • MS, PhD degree(s) in Finance, Statistics, Physics, Quantitative Science or related field
  • Experience with models, math and financial markets
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working with various software programs and information systems.
  • Programming experience will be very helpful
  • Preferred Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation

PRIVATE CAPITAL MARKETS ANALYST

Qualifications

  • Great working knowledge of computer systems, Excel, Access, Pitchbook
  • Relevant Private Equity/Capital Markets knowledge and/or experience
  • Top academic performance
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically in an analytical setting

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, flexibility

  • Under the direction of the Private Fund Senior Portfolio Manager, you will provide qualitative and quantitative due diligence analysis of private equity (PE) limited partnerships, private debt (PD) investments, other non-Investment grade strategies, as well as assist with producing various investment reports focused primarily on private funds.

This position is an opportunity to support and become an integral member of Summit Global Investments. You’ll work daily with the investment team to help manage assets across multiple investment strategies and structures. You will further work with operations to ensure trading, proxy voting, corporate actions, and all investment operations are timely and accurate. This team member will have an opportunity to participate in investment meetings where portfolio decisions are made.     Qualifications
