Steve recently worked as Founder and Managing Partner of Presidium Partners, a high-end wealth management practice. Prior to Presidium Steve was President and CEO of Alpine Capital Management. Over his career of twenty-five plus years he has developed extensive experience in private capital, investment management, financial analysis, asset allocation, estate, tax, philanthropic and wealth transfer planning.

Steve began his career, in 1987, working for Bankers Trust in New York where he launched a mutual funds custody unit and directed its growth from $600 million to $3 billion in assets. In addition, he managed two operations in international custody and municipal bonds. Subsequently, he joined the Industrial Bank of Japan where he established the Japan Trust Group and led the firm’s efforts in replacing their global custody and trust system. In 1994, after briefly consulting with the Financial Services Group of Booz Allen & Hamilton, he joined Montgomery Securities in San Francisco where he built a high net-worth business managing $300 million in equity and fixed-income assets for private individuals and institutions. In 1997, Steve moved to Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette/Credit Suisse First Boston where he was instrumental in building a high net-worth business overseeing $1 billion in assets.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics cum laude and with University Honors from Brigham Young University and his Masters in Business Administration from The Harvard Business School.
